CNC Machining

At Elmi Machine & Tool Co., our success as a manufacturer is built on precision CNC machining services that can accommodate the needs of the most demanding industries. We operate a modern well-equipped facility and specialize in high volume manufacturing. With our technical capabilities and equipment assets, we handle parts with complex geometries and precision tolerances. Our machining department incorporates a powerful lineup of multi-axis, multi-spindle machinery with live tooling capabilities, automated bar feeds, and pallet systems that allow for greater productivity through lights-out manufacturing. By synthesizing all aspects of the part design, machining techniques involved, and the desired quality attributes, we develop efficient and productive processes that achieve fast cycle times and high yields. With our CAD design specialists and integrated CAM systems, we automate the programming process, reduce setup times, and boost total output.

Along with an extensive range of metals, including high-strength, high-temperature superalloys, we machine parts from commodity and engineered type resins as well as a selection of other non-metals, including ceramics and composites. We turn parts that measure from 0.1” to 12.0” in diameter and from .008” to 10.0” in length and mill parts with dimensions as large as 8.0’ in length x 20.0” in width x 18.0” in height. Our combination of advanced equipment and a team of seasoned machinists are capable of upholding tolerances as close as ±.0002”.

We are a lean, Six Sigma company laser-focused on quality. We carry out in-process and final inspections of machined parts to ensure they are within tolerance limits and document all results. Although much of our work involves longer runs, we tap into our roots as a prototype shop to offer competitive prices and turnover for shorter run work.
